Her father, Jerome, had led a very unhealthy life. He was unable to care for his family since he was hooked to drinking. The booze heightened his rage, causing him to become estranged from all of his loved ones.
On January 24, 2003, Jerome died of a brain tumor. At the time of his death, he was 68 years old.
