Since high school, Dorothea Hurley has competed in numerous junior championships while practising karate. She ranks as the nation’s fourth-best greenbelt karate instructor. Dorothea Hurley held a fourth-degree black belt at the time her hubby was featured in People in 2002.
She runs a karate school in New Jersey. The JBJ Soul Kitchen chain is shared by her and her spouse. The eatery encourages patrons to “pay it forward” by purchasing meals for the less fortunate rather than making a profit. She rose to fame as the musician husband of Jon Bon Jovi.
