On April 18, 1967, Maria Elena Bello was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania., to construction worker Joe Bello and his wife, school nurse, and teacher Kathy Bello.
In their Roman Catholic household, she was the fourth child. She is the youngest of three siblings.
She graduated from ‘Archbishop John Carroll High School,’ where she acquired her official education. Later, she enrolled at ‘Villanova University,’ where she studied political science. She aspired to be a lawyer.
During one of her undergraduate theatre sessions, she grew enamored with acting and decided to pursue an acting career. She went to New York City after graduating in political science and appearing in a few theater performances.
Maria’s sister, Lisa Bello, is an activist and soul singer. Maria’s ancestors are of Polish and Italian heritage. She was raised in a Roman Catholic church in Norristown.
Maria was diagnosed with the bipolar illness when she was 20 years old. The star had multiple surgeries and fortunately recovered years later.
