Blake Bozeman, the son of former Bears coach Todd Bozeman and a former basketball player for Morgan State, was engaged in the horrifying nightclub massacre in Washington, D.C.
At the Cru Lounge, located in the 1300 block of H Street in Northeast Washington, D.C., he was hit by gunshots and fell to the ground.
That fateful Saturday night, the sad incident is said to have happened at about 11:50 p.m., and three other people were also victims of the assault.
Bozeman was taken to a nearby hospital right afterward, where the local police verified he passed away from his wounds.
The 31-year-old victim’s identity was later confirmed by Morgan State University, the academic institution where Blake had gained notoriety.
Thankfully, none of the other victims’ injuries were life-threatening, although two men and a woman were admitted to the hospital.
Following this terrible event, the police identified a Black man suspect who was around 5 feet 7 inches tall and was wearing a black cap and a white/cream sweater.
A reward of $25,000 has been offered for tips or information leading to an arrest and conviction in order to facilitate the prompt capture of the offender.
