Jochen Goetz Goetz, 52, died on August 5, 2023, as the Chief Financial Officer of Daimler Truck Holding AG.
He was a longstanding part of the Daimler team, having worked for the company for almost 36 years in a variety of financial capacities. He was born in Germany in 1971.
He played a key role in the Mercedes-Benz Group’s 2021 corporate spinoff of Daimler Truck.
The CFO led Daimler Truck’s outstanding profitability and financial success by bringing to the company his extensive financial knowledge and leadership skills.
Sadly, on August 5th, the chief was killed in an accident. He was considered the epitome of a finance professional, energetic and involved in day-to-day operations.
His spouse and their two cherished kids are left behind.
The CFO will be recognized for his pivotal role in making Daimler Truck a stand-alone global leader in trucking.
It is a great loss, both personally and professionally, that he passed away too soon.
