Bridget Regan was born to Irish American parents in Carlsbad, California, on February 3, 1982.
She was raised in a Catholic household and was interested in acting from a young age.
Bridget acted in two North County productions as a child: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Carlsbad and The Wizard of Oz at the La Paloma Theatre.
The Carlsbad-born Bridget attended the University of North Carolina School of Arts and graduated in 2004 with a BFA in drama.
After graduation, Regan moved to New York City to pursue a professional career in acting.
She started her career with minor roles in some series and short movies before her breakthrough performance in Legend of the Seeker.
Regan’s performance as Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell in the show based on Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series earned her a cult following.
Since then, the 41-year-old has played significant roles in several series and movies.
Apart from movies and series, Regan acted in theater productions, such as The Scottish Play, Children and Art, and Geneva.
