Early career
Following graduation, Nicolle concentrated on developing her skills as a writer and became very active in California politics. She began her career in California as an on-air reporter.
Following this, Nicolle worked as Governor Jeb Bush’s press secretary. In 2000, she also started working at the Florida State Technology Office as the communications director. Wallace also took part in the recount of the Florida election.
Political career
Her position as President George W. Bush’s White House Communications director is among Nicolle’s most noteworthy professional accomplishments. Wallace oversaw the White House’s media affairs while serving as Bush’s special assistant before this. As the director of communications, she actively participated in Bush’s 2004 campaign for president.
Nicolle was forced to leave her job in 2005 due to her husband’s migration to New York and her own circumstances. She did not, however, avoid the political scene for very long. Wallace served as the campaign’s senior advisor in 2008 for the McCain-Palin ticket. She was a prominent supporter and spokeswoman for the cause.
Television career
Wallace’s television career began on September 3, 2014, when she became a co-host of The View. She was forced to leave the show in 2015 since her segment on it was unable to garner high ratings. Nicolle Wallace joined MSNBC’s Morning Joe and The 11 Hour with Brian Williams as a contributor and guest host after her brief time on The View.
Wallace currently works for NBC News as a senior political commentator. She frequently appears on NBC News Today and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. Wallace also serves as the host of the MSNBC program Deadline: White House.
Work as a Writer
The best-selling author Nicolle Wallace is the author of popular works like It’s Classified: A Novel, Madam President: A Novel, and Eighteen Acres.
Political views
Nicole once served as George W. Bush’s Republican communications director, but she is no longer a Republican in good standing. Wallace referred to herself as a “self-loathing former Republican” in March 2021.
“That would be extremely sad and shameful if I could feel any sympathy for my former party. I don’t, though. I can hardly renew my driver’s license let alone go down and re-register, therefore I’m still a registered Republican. But I don’t actually vote Republican,” she continued. In February 2013, Nicolle and her ex-husband also made their support for same-sex unions known in public.
Nicolle Wallace and Donald Trump
She has been outspoken about her anti-Trump stance in response to Nicolle’s “former republican” allegations. Wallace stated at a panel discussion on MSNBC,
“Having once been a member of the Republican Party, the right isn’t running an intellectually legitimate operation to get to the bottom of whether Tara Reade was victimized. The right is running a smear campaign against Joe Biden”.
On Twitter, Trump reacted to Wallace’s assertions. He tweeted:
“She was thrown off The View like a dog, Zero T.V. Personas. Now Wallace is a 3rd rate lapdog for Fake News MSDNC (Concast). Doesn’t have what it takes!”
Nicolle Wallace and Sarah Paulson
Wallace was represented by Sarah Paulson in the 2012 HBO political drama Game Change, which was based on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. Nicolle praised the movie and Paulson’s performance, saying that both “caught the spirit and emotion of the campaign” and were very convincing. Wallace said that the movie was “real enough to make me uncomfortable” in an interview with George Stephanopoulos.
