He initially began his career working for the late Bishop John Seth Bailey as a preacher. He held a number of positions during his career, including National Adjutant Overseer, Executive Secretary of the International Youth Department, Choir Director, and Chairman.
Additionally, he has had a board position with the Michigan Anti-Apartheid Council. Sheard’s leadership and vision improved local and international churches by putting good plans into action.
Following that, God in Christ nominated Bishop to be the church’s president. He established the national youth department there, which planned several activities for young organizations such as The Persuaders, Young Men of Valor, The Young Excited and Saved Club, and The YES Club.
