Anthonie Ruinard Jr., a 37-year-old Chandler, Arizona resident, was taken into custody by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of first-degree murder. He is being held for the mutilation and death by stabbing of Parker League, a juvenile from Nebraska who was eighteen years old. On June 12, League’s bones were found in “the pit,” an abandoned bonfire pile in Bulldog Canyon, an off-road area of the Tonto National Forest.
Dental data were used to identify his burned and mutilated remains. League had multiple knife cuts to his back with an unidentifiable sharp weapon, according to court documents. They chopped off his hands and head and put them next to his legs.
The inquiry found that Ruinard utilized League’s debit and credit cards, which were captured on camera at several stores and restaurants. The authorities believed that League had already passed away when Ruinard attempted to use League’s credit cards to purchase a rifle scope at Walmart. During Ruinard’s house raid, investigators found 1 pound, 8 ounces of cocaine base, and approximately 2 pounds of cocaine.
They also discovered Ruinard’s Dodge Challenger, which had a large bloodstain in its trunk that matched League’s blood. Ruinard claimed that the absence of a portion of the carpet on the bedroom floor was due to construction.
