Angela McGlowan began her government and public affairs career as a government and public affairs manager for Steve Wynn’s Mirage Resorts. She worked extremely well and participated in lobbying campaigns with the American Gaming Association during her time (AGA). This resulted in the establishment of Mirage Resorts’ most recent casino venues, Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi.

She is also known to have created advocacy and community engagement initiatives for Mirage Resorts in both Las Vegas and Biloxi. McGlowan was crowned Miss District of Columbia USA in 1994, providing her with a much-needed platform. Angela then went on to become the Director of Outreach for the Better America Foundation, an organization formed by then-Senator Bob Dole. Angela worked as a legislative/press aide for both Representative Roscoe Bartlett and Representative John Ensign at the time.

She also worked as Ensign’s publicist during her victorious re-election campaign in 1996. She has since been acknowledged as one of the most powerful political analysts in American history. On February 8, 2010, McGlowan declared her candidacy for Congress in Mississippi’s 1st congressional district, defying incumbent Democrat Travis Childers. Angela was defeated in the Republican primary by Mississippi State Senator Alan Nunnelee.
