Mxmtoon is an American pop singer-songwriter, musician, YouTube sensation, and social media celebrity. Her creative music, trip vlogs, and personal entries propelled her to fame. A native Californian got violin, cello, trumpet, and guitar lessons during her school years. Similarly, she started playing the ukulele in middle school.
She wanted to become a singer after being inspired by a friend’s words. Mxmtoon began by writing songs with a comic undertone. She altered her attention, however, to penning songs about honest and vulnerable feelings. Mxmtoon began creating songs about adolescent passion, love, grief, and misery.
She had done several covers at the beginning of her career, as had many other aspiring singers. Maroon 5’s ‘Sunday Morning,’ Sylvan Esso’s ‘Hey Mami,’ Daughter’s ‘Youth,’ 2NE1’s ‘Come Back Home,’ Frankie Cosmos’ ‘Too Dark,’ Adventure Time’s ‘Good Little Girl’ (with Donald Glover and Madeleine Martin), and Joji’s ‘Worldstar Money (Interlude)’ are among the tunes.
Similarly, she co-wrote ‘Fantasy’ with Alina Baraz. Alina Baraz collaborated with Galimatias on the single, which was released on June 16, 2016. One of her first original tracks, ‘The Sideline,’ was released in 2017. Following the release of a demo titled ‘Something,’ it was eventually renamed ‘Feelings Are Fatal.’
