Hong Kong is the place where Au-Yeung Man-Sing began life on June 11th, 1987. His parents’ origins are in Shanghai, but they eventually settled in Hong Kong, where he spent the first thirteen years of his life.
In order to give Yang and his brother better educational opportunities, Yang’s family moved to Los Angeles, California, where his aunt and grandmother lived.
He was a student at John Burroughs Middle School, where he was in eighth grade. After graduating from Beverly Hills High, he enrolled at UC San Diego, where he studied economics and received his bachelor’s degree in 2009.
