Delhomme finished his career as the school’s all-time leading quarterback in yards and touchdowns. In 2006, he was inducted into the “Athletic Hall of Fame” at his alma mater.
Despite being passed over in the 1997 NFL Draft, he was signed as a free agent by the New Orleans Saints. He was a member of the NFL Europe League’s practice squad for two years.

Delhomme is the Carolina Panther’s all-time leader in passing attempts, completions, and interceptions. His 85-yard touchdown pass set the record for the longest pass in a Super Bowl. He is now the spokesperson for the fast-food restaurant business Bojangles.
