The Father of Andy is a widower. He wed fashion designer Kate Brosnahan in 1994, but she passed away on June 5, 2018. They first connected while in college, and after moving to New York, Kate started working for a fashion magazine. Their daughter, Frances Beatrix Spade, was born in 2005.
The younger brother of Spade, David Spade, is an actor and comedian. He is also Rachel Brosnahan’s uncle. After Kate committed herself, Andy released a statement admitting that, while not being formally separated, they had been living apart for ten months.
