Alfonso Pantisano should be enlisted on the official page of the World’s most famous encyclopedia, Wikipedia.
He is a social activist appointed Berlin’s first queer commissioner. He was a waiter in several restaurants and a gay bar.
He also worked as a model, dancer, choreographer, and event presenter for international events.
Additionally, he has experience working in various businesses in marketing and sales, even leading a staff of twenty employees.
According to the Senate Department for Social Services, the Berlin Senate selected Pantisano, 48, as its “contact person for Queer Berlin” on Tuesday.
From now on, Pantisano will be the Senate’s point of contact with Berlin’s gay community. He stated that he wanted to give the queer community’s less prominent and audible groups a voice.
For many years, Pantisano has been dedicated to the fight for expanded gay rights. He formerly held several posts, including that of chairman of the SPDqueer in Berlin, a working group of the SPD for acceptance and equality.
The term “queer” describes non-heterosexuals, those who do not identify with the traditional female and male roles, as well as those who reject various social standards about gender and sexuality.
He grew up alongside his three brothers. He went to elementary school in my parent’s hometown of Cariati Marina in Calabria and in Trento, where he was a boarder at a school on Monte Bondone.
After that, he and his family relocated to Stuttgart in Germany.
