In 2014, Alex Holley began her career as a co-host for FOX 29’s Good Day Philadelphia. She was previously employed at WMBF-TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for morning news shows.
She covered numerous major stories for the station during her time there, including the 2012 Republican Presidential Primary Debates and personal stories about tropical storms and hurricanes.
Holley worked for a number of other stations over her career, including KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. She worked as a producer and did some reporting and anchoring for the station.
Alex Holley was a reporter for Newsy.com, a multi-source news website. For Good Day Philly!, she was nominated for an Emmy Award in the co-host category. She recently took a vacation from her FOX 29 show on August 17 in order to rest her voice, and she returned a few weeks later in September.
Alex Holley apologized profusely when her co-host Mike Jerrick was nasty to a politician named Kellyanne Conway during the show. Mike Jerrick was suspended for a week by Fox 29 as a result of the uproar.
