Aside from checking the likes on your own posts, it’s also possible to view the number of likes on other people’s Instagram posts. However, keep in mind that you can only view the likes of public accounts that you follow or search for. If the account is private and you don’t follow them, you won’t be able to see their likes.
To view the likes on someone else’s public post, simply navigate to the post and tap on the number of likes that appear below it. Doing so will display a list of usernames of people who have liked the post. You can scroll through the list to see each individual user or search for a specific username using the search bar at the top of the screen.
If you want to view the likes of a private account that you follow, you can send a request to follow them and wait for them to approve your request. Once you’re following them, you can view their posts and see who has liked them just like you would with a public account.
It’s important to note that Instagram may choose to hide the number of likes on a post, regardless of whether it’s your own or someone else’s. In this case, you won’t be able to see the number of likes, but you can still view the list of usernames who have liked the post.
