Don Lemon was born Donald Carlton Lemon on March 1, 1966, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the United States of America. He is Katherine Clark’s son; the names of his mother and father are unknown. He is of Creole descent. In addition to his African-American background, his great grandfather was of French descent.
Don attended Baker High School in Baker, Louisiana, which is a public high school in the town of Baker, which is part of East Baton Rouge Parish. In his senior year of high school, he was even elected class president. He attended Louisiana State University after finishing high school and graduated from Brooklyn College in 1996 with a degree in broadcast journalism. He was an intern at WNYW during his college years and afterward worked for Fox News for a few years.
