Andy Zhang, Patty Tavatanakit’s boyfriend, is a fantastic golfer in his own right. He is a professional Chinese golfer based in Winter Garden, Florida. Andy was born on December 14, 1997, in Beijing, China, and spent most of his childhood there. Similarly, he developed an interest in golf at the age of six and was already training with a coach.
When Andy was ten years old, he moved to Bradenton, Florida, with his mother to play golf. He holds the distinction of being the youngest player to ever compete in the US Open at the age of 14. Similarly, Andy committed to play collegiate golf at the University of Florida in early 2015.
The Chinese golfer had advanced to seventh position in the World Amateur Golf Ranking by the time he turned pro in 2018. Andy missed the cut in two of his three PGA Tour events. He also competed in the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup for the International team. He has also won other amateur titles, including the Thunderbird International Junior in 2014, the CB&I – Simplify Boys Championship in 2016, and the SEC Championship in 2018.
