He came to the KVUE staff as a meteorologist in November 2020. While at the University of Miami, he helped conduct research with the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science on hurricane forecast model accuracy. Shane also finished an internship at WTVJ, where Shane conducted research on daily forecasting model accuracy for South Florida.
He joins KVUE following serving as a weekend and midday meteorologist at WCTI in New Bern, North Carolina. During his time in North Carolina, Shane offered Emmy-nominated coverage for Hurricane Florence plus reported both Hurricane Dorian and Hurricane Isaias.
During his leisure time, Shane can be found at a local movie theater, running, or spending time with his dog, Stratus. Shane is thrilled to explore Central Texas and looks forward to trying out all the different kinds of cuisine.
